SPOT ON TRAINING
Hi, I'm Andrea Acosta, the owner of Spot On Training. In 8th grade I was voted “Most Likely to become a Dog Trainer." No joke! I’ve always been fascinated with the incredible relationship we have with dogs, and it’s been my passion for as long as I can remember.
I began my career as a professional trainer in 2001. In addition to training dogs, I have held training positions with the world-famous San Diego Zoo & Safari Park, including regular appearances in the Bird Show and Sea Lion Show. I have also managed a successful doggy daycare and have extensive knowledge of pack dynamics, group play, managing aggression, and separation anxiety. I am CPDT-KA certified as a positive reinforcement trainer. While I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree, my greatest strength is that I am a patient and effective teacher with a passion for developing the dog-human bond with families like yours.
What sets us apart from other dog training companies is that we develop a training plan that caters to both our human & our canine clients, always putting the relationship with our dogs first. Another way to put it is that I teach people how to communicate with their dogs in ways that actually work!
